On Tuesday 11th February at 10am, Metronomy will post a brand new video to forthcoming single ‘Love Letters’ on their YouTube channel, directed by Academy award winning Michel Gondry.

Gondry became known for his inventive visual style in early music videos for artists such as Bjork, Radiohead, Kylie Minogue, The White Stripes, Beck and Daft Punk, however he soon went on to develop documentaries, screen plays and feature films such as Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind and later, The Science of Sleep, for which he gained critical acclaim. His most recent project is a hand-drawn animated documentary on famed linguist Noam Chomsky, entitled ‘Is the man who is tall happy?’.

Having sunk comfortably into music video retirement, Metronomy are the sole act able to bring Gondry out and the results are a visual feast, a rare treat for both Metronomy and Gondry fans worldwide.

On Wednesday 12th Feb at 5pm GMT, Metronomy fans will be able to talk to Joe Mount and Michel Gondry via a very special Google Hangout hosted by Adam Buxton on YouTube. The first Google Hangout of its kind, viewers will, for the first time ever, be able to submit their questions for Joe and Michel in the comments section of the YouTube video using the hash tag #loveletters. The hangout will be streamed live from the official Metronomy YouTube channel.

On Valentine’s Day (Friday Feb 14th) at 9am, fans will have the opportunity to buy a limited number of Field Day tickets plus the Love Letters album (MP3 format) for the price of £50. The offer will last for 24 hours only and will stop when all tickets are sold.

As well as headlining Field Day on Saturday 7th June, Metronomy are about to embark on a UK tour this March. The tour will support the release of new album titled Love Letters which is due the same month, March 10th. Love Letters is Joseph Mount’s masterpiece. Not losing any of the glowing warmth and ear worm melodies that makes Metronomy’s sound so distinct, it is more developed, further evolved - Joe Mount excels in his lyrics and songwriting and delivers what sounds like a truly classic record.
