Demi Lovato says Nick Jonas easily did “90 per cent” of the work on her concerts.

In a Rolling Stone interview published on Tuesday, Nick revealed he signed on to be the musical and creative director of Demi’s upcoming Neon Lights Tour.

And according to Demi he was the natural choice for the role, as she is deeply impressed by his creativity.

"Phil [Demi's manager] and I were going through ideas for the tour and I always want his [Nick's] opinion on stuff cause he knows exactly what he's talking about," she recalled to MTV News.

"And he had visions for this tour and he threw out some ideas and they were really good and we just thought 'Why don't you just do the whole tour, please?' so it's turned out amazing and like 90 per cent is his work."

Demi and Nick, both 21, have been close friends since she performed as the opening act for the Jonas Brothers on their Burnin’ Up Tour in 2008.

Nick left the band in October of last year and he is elated the songstress asked him to help with her next string of shows.

"I love my relationship with Demi and our friendship," Nick said. "The fact that she asked me to come in and sort of help take her visions and her dreams and turn them into a reality onstage was an honour and the show looks amazing and I think this is going to be the best show she has put on for her fans."

Demi’s Neon Lights Tour will kick off in Vancouver, Canada on February 9. The show will travel across North and South America before ending in Monterrey, Mexico on May 17.
