After a 6 month delay, indie-rock band KILTO TAKE are set to finally launch their eagerly awaited, powerful debut album, aptly named ‘RESOLUTE’, on February 10th 2014 on Medical Records.

Crafted in the midst of uncertainty as the band's lead singer entered end stage kidney failure, the album is an ode to their unwavering and driven ability to stand vehemently by their musical convictions and passion no matter what, to deliver this dark, brooding yet anthemic, euphonious statement.

Irrespective of circumstance, the Hertfordshire three-piece (comprising singer and guitarist Jon Crosby, bass player Karl Grant, and drummer Lee James Spavins) came into their own, honing their collective talents to write and record their album in just over a month. The resulting body of work is infused with the life-blood that fed British modern rock, inspired by the sounds of The Chameleons, The Cure, Radiohead, Echo and the Bunnymen, Slowdive, early U2…, all delivered in a succinct 44 minutes and 44 seconds.

Ramping up their gigging schedule and performing at prestigious venues up and down the country, launch plans were temporarily placed on hold as the band's frontman received unexpected transplant surgery.

In the meantime the momentum didn’t stop, seeing the band garnering recognition and significant support from MUZU TV, Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music), BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and The 405 (to name but a few).

Back to full complement, KILTO TAKE's next step forward is now set in stone, with the release of their new double A-side single, ‘Defection’ / ‘Retrogress’. Released on the same day as ‘RESOLUTE’, the single stands as a defiant proclamation of a band that refuses to let anything get in the way of their music and is the perfect precursor to the album – a slow-burning, yet beguiling introduction to a collection of songs that slips effortlessly into the psyche, and to a band with a firm foothold on the first rung of their musical career.

Lead singer Jon Crosby comments on the album - “RESOLUTE is one of those albums that came together fairly quickly. We entered the studio with no preconceived ideas other than we wanted to stick to our musical roots and inspirations, creating something new that would be a strong basis for us to evolve from… our starting point. It was more about going back to basics, feeding off each others energy and just seeing what we could create in that heightened moment of time. We are really looking forward to finally getting it out there."

The album was produced by Ru Cook (Everything Everything) at Lost Boys Studio with campaign artwork from award winning art director Jonathan Cooke (Village Green, Fabric, Visionquest...).
