Diddy’s spokesperson says the rapper is not engaged to Cassie Ventura.
Speculation about the couple was rife after the hip-hop star posted a photo of a giant sparkler he bought his girlfriend on Instagram.
"Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like ! I just wanna Mk you smile :) #takeDat. !" he captioned the image.
But it looks like the jewellery wasn’t a sign the pair are headed down the aisle.
Diddy’s representative dismissed the rumours to E! News, insisting the couple are not engaged.
Diddy meanwhile has made it clear in previous interviews he’s in no rush when it comes to marriage.
According to the 44-year-old, he’ll take the step forward when the time is right.
“It definitely would be a dream come true for me to just one day be ready for that [marriage],” he said on US chat show The View last year. “I’m not really looking because I know the responsibility that comes with that, and I think that a lot of people, they jump into that and they’re not honest with themselves,” he explained.
“I’m brutally honest with myself. I don’t want to get married and not make that woman be the best. I’ve been close to it, and when I’m ready, I’ll make the announcement, but when I do it, I’m doing it forever.”
