One of the trailblazers of the music scene, Glastonbury Emerging Talent Winners - Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, are set to release their highly anticipated second album supported by a string of live dates throughout the UK in April 2014.

The all-female, folk influenced quartet, beloved by critics and fans alike, have enjoyed a spectacular rise in popularity over the past couple of years. Regarded by many as ‘rising stars’ of the music scene, this eccentric ensemble injects contradictions galore with their union of bright melody and sombre lyricism.

Following on from the success of their previously released material - Bridie Jackson and The Arbour went on to play a sold out show at The Sage Gateshead, several stages at Glastonbury Festival, and a support slot with I Am Kloot. The four-piece also secured live sessions on BBC Radio 2, 3 and 4, and plays on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, being hailed by Tom Robinson as a favourite of 2013.

The band’s new album, New Skin, produced by Mick Ross, charts the progress of the girls developing sound, whose style intertwines melancholy with joyful rich harmonies. Sitting somewhere between the lushness of Norah Jones and quirkiness of Joanna Newsom, the girls are set to deliver a uniquely ethereal collection of haunting songs, which they will premier to their fans during their extensive Spring tour. Taking in a mixture of iconic city venues including St Pancras Old Church in London and Gateshead Town Hall, the tour will celebrate the launch of Bridie Jackson and The Arbour’s album, whilst taking the opportunity of playing to an audience of loyal fans, who have supported the girls throughout their meteoric rise from grass roots favourite, to critics’ choice.
