Ellie Goulding reportedly feels torn between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Twilight stars had a well publicised relationship, but broke up after trying to make things work when Kristen was caught kissing married director Rupert Sanders in 2012.
Their mutual friend Ellie Goulding is now said to be stuck in the middle of their break-up.
"Ellie's really good mates with both Rob and Kristen and used to spend time them as a couple. Since their break-up, she stills hangs out with both of them, but separately. Things are proving quite difficult at the minute," a source revealed to British magazine Now.
Ellie is set to perform at California's Coachella Festival in April, and is said to want both Robert and Kristen to be there to see her set. But this may not be so easy.
"Ellie wants both her friends to be there. It's one of the biggest events of the year for her, especially as she's starting to make a mark on the American market. But she knows her mates can't even be in the same space as each other right now, so she's feeling caught in the middle," the source continued.
It looked like Robert and Kristen, who starred on screen as lovers Edward and Bella in the hit vampire franchise, were mending broken bridges when they were spotted spending Thanksgiving together last November.
But friends say the truce didn't last long.
"Things started to turn sour again because Rob just couldn't trust her. When Rob sold his old house it was a sign that he's moving on. Kristen was hurt as that was their love nest while they were dating. It felt like a kick in the teeth. Then to add to her woes, Rob started hanging out with some of her friends. She thought that was an odd move," the source added.
