Usher says he is thrilled to be back on The Voice.

The musician joins Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Shakira for his second season of the hit singing competition.

According to Usher, being involved in the growth of young performers is incredibly rewarding.

“You make investments in these artists, these talents. And there's something that can happen that's positive… I’m excited about the potential of what’s going to happen, the new ideas that’ll just kind of come up,” he told Extra.

“I’m shocking myself a lot of times cause I don’t know what I’m doing when I’m in there. I just kinda go with what I feel.”
The R&B star admits that while he doesn’t have a game plan in place, he is happy Adam was victorious last season, breaking Blake’s winning streak.

The singer feels it’s much more entertaining for fans to see things get shaken up a bit.

“Yeah, at some point this s**t is ridiculous. Like, you can't keep winning… really great to see Adam come in and have that moment to kind of rekindle that fire that he had in the beginning,” he laughed.

Adam made it very clear he was thrilled to win last season, wasting no time in taunting Blake with his victory. The singer joked about how satisfying it was to finally get one over on the country star.

“I have to go find him and tell him to kiss my ass!” Adam gleefully told Hollywood Life at the time.

The new season of The Voice premieres on US TV on February 24.
