Lady Gaga has announced new tour dates.

The eccentric popstar is embarking on her artRave: The ARTPOP Ball string of shows this year.

Now it's been confirmed she will play four UK dates during October, and one in Ireland.

The first will kick off in Birmingham and then move on to Glasgow and Manchester, before finishing at London's iconic O2 Arena on the 23rd. Her Irish gig will be in Dublin on October 17.

The tour supports Gaga's Artpop album, which she released last year and has already spawned hit singles Applause and Do What U Want.

It was her first since 2011's Born This Way, which was supported by a tour in 2012 and 2013.

Many of Gaga's North American shows on the Born This Way Ball had to be cancelled following an operation on her hip, which left her bed-bound.

She's now back on top form and her Artpop tour will kick off in North America on May 4.

Gaga will continue moving through the US and Canada and plays Las Vegas and Los Angeles in July.

The 27-year-old singer is constantly encouraging her fans to be as creative as she is.

"Your talents are like crops in a garden. Cultivate them and they will grow stronger each season. Every market will want your yield. #ARTPOP (sic)," she recently tweeted.
