Taylor Swift says her friends are a top priority in life.
The 24-year-old singer has many close pals who she confides in regularly, despite her busy schedule.
According to Taylor, she has learned the value of keeping those relationships strong.
"I call my friends a lot. I've gotten better at that over the years. Sometimes I have to go months without seeing my best friends and I have to remember to stay in touch,” she told E! Online.
“But most of my friends completely understand how busy life can get, and they'd never make me feel guilty if we haven't talked in a while. We just catch up on everything the next time we see each other.”
One of Taylor’s close friends is fellow singer Lorde, who recently quashed rumours the two were feuding.
Lorde made a comment about Taylor being unattainable because of her looks, but explained she meant nothing bad by it.
"what i meant was: there's a lot of importance placed on physical perfection in this industry," she wrote on her Tumblr account. “and i wish my favourite stars didn't look perfect because i think fans (me included) have these feelings of worthlessness, like they'll never be as pretty/talented/whatever, as a result of this intense photoshop culture and the endless strive for perfection (sic).”
Lorde went on to praise her friend, saying she has much more to offer than her outer beauty. The Royals star thinks Taylor is absolutely down to earth and a great role model.
“she happens to be good looking, but i think she actually uses her other imperfections in an incredibly powerful and relatable way,” Lorde added. “taylor swift has a very unique vision, which i admire."
