Police apparently found no evidence that Justin Bieber egged his neighbour's home.
The singer's mansion in Calabasas, California, was searched earlier this month following allegations he had pelted a house in the area with eggs, causing $20,000 of damage.
TMZ reported the LA County Sheriff's Department were going through the property for any surveillance footage that might link him to the incident and texts "bragging" about the attack.
Now the website writes that so far, the 19-year-old couldn't be connected to the egging.
"Sources familiar with the surveillance video tell us you do NOT see Bieber egging the house. Furthermore we're told there is no video before or after the incident that shows Bieber at the immediate scene," TMZ posts.
"We're also told... Bieber did not 'brag text' about the egging incident."
It's been a turbulent time for Justin, who was arrested last week after driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence and driving on an expired licence in Miami.
He was released on $2,500 bail and is currently spending some time away in Panama with a group of friends.
It now seems the egg case rests on a video obtained by TMZ, where the singer can't be seen but a voice that reportedly sounds like Justin's can be heard.
There are also two witnesses who claimed to see Justin during the incident - the neighbour who was egged and his teenage daughter.
The case will apparently be sent over to the LA County District Attorney for review this week.
If found guilty, Justin could be charged with felony vandalism or misdemeanour vandalism.
