Justin Bieber’s mum Pattie Mallette “prays for him every day”.
The 19-year-old Canadian singer has recently been accused of abusing a codeine drug cocktail called sizzurp, and his house was raided by cops last week.
According to British newspaper The Sun, Pattie hopes a higher power will intervene in her son’s life.
“I think so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots and they go in with the right morals and they get influenced somehow,” she is quoted as saying to the crowd during a January 16th speaking appearance at Christian radio station KSBJ’s Girls’ Night Out event in Houston, Texas.
“I think it’s important to pray for leaders and people of influence and God has put [Justin] in this place of influence.
“I ask that people keep me and Justin in their minds. I pray for him every day.”
Justin has been embroiled in controversy for over a year, but things seemed to have come to a head last week.
Police raided his home on Tuesday January 14 looking for evidence he had been involved in an egg attack on his neighbour's home which caused $20,000 of damage.
His friend Lil Za was arrested after drugs were found in his room at the mansion, with subsequent reports there were other substances at the property. Law enforcement officials have denied those claims, but Justin's mom Pattie and his manager Scooter Braun are still said to be worried about him.
But it doesn’t appear his allegedly wild behaviour will be ending anytime soon.
Justin reportedly spent $75,000 at famous Miami strip club King of Diamonds on Monday night. The teenager was at the venue celebrating Lil Scrappy’s birthday party.
