Jake Bugg returns with his first release of 2014, the brilliant “A Song About Love”. It’s taken from his latest album “Shangri La” that was released in November 2013 and went into the charts at Number 3.
It’s a clear step on in his songwriting. It’s a beautiful, yearning track that displays a new level of maturity and carries a heavy emotional hit. The album “Shangri La” has already gone gold in the UK. It was produced by Rick Rubin at his studio in Malibu over the summer of 2013.
The release comes off the back of another Brits nomination, this time for Best Male. This follows his nomination last year for Best Breakthrough Act. Recently Jake has been touring the US to great acclaim, and has appeared on Jay Leno and Ellen. Also, Jake appeared on British TV screens on Graham Norton’s Friday night show.
In February Jake Bugg is back in the UK to play a string of dates, including his biggest yet, a sold out homecoming show at Nottingham Arena, as well as the Royal Albert Hall where he will be joined by special guests.
