Justin Bieber brushed off his ongoing drugs controversy by hitting the slopes on Saturday.

The 19-year-old pop star, who has reportedly ignored pleas from his minders to check into rehab, posted several photos of himself hanging out with pals on Instagram.

And it appeared treatment was the furthest thing from his mind this weekend as he enjoyed some fresh powder with photographer Ryan Butler, R&B singer Khalil Sharief and pal Josh Gudwin.

"Snowboarding with the fellas," he captioned an image of himself sticking out his tongue.

"Great day," he added in another image of the guys showing off their boards while sitting on a mountain top, the star's hands in the air.

Another video showed the singer coming down the slope and laughing at the camera.

The images come just hours after reports Justin is drinking "sizzurp" with "alarming regularity".

TMZ claims Justin's team is concerned about the singer's use of the drug mix, thought to have been linked to Lil Wayne's hospitalisation last year.

"Multiple credible, connected sources tell us... Bieber has been using sizzurp regularly. It's typically codeine and promethazine mixed with Sprite and a Jolly Rancher. Bieber and his crew refer to it as 'lean.' It's a very dangerous narcotic that can trigger seizures, and even worse," the website writes.

TMZ also claims Justin is using marijuana and prescription pills including Xanax, as well as drinking alcohol.

"We're told a number of people are very worried and have urged him to get help - including going to rehab," the website claims.

A spokesperson for the singer has yet to issue comment.
