Chris Pine is "petrified" of his singing voice.

The actor is playing the Prince in the big-screen adaptation of Into The Woods, opposite Anna Kendrick as Cinderella.

Chris is singing in the film and confesses he's extremely nervous about people's reactions.

"I was worried about going off pitch all the time, so I was constantly singing and practicing," he told MTV. "I'm petrified. I hope you enjoy it."

While Chris might not feel confident about his vocal abilities, he has plenty of support from his co-stars. On a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the talk show host told him Meryl Streep said he was a "great singer".

"She said that?! She told you that?! You're not BS-ing me?! Do not BS me, Jimmy!" said an incredulous Chris, before admitting, "I'm a shower-singer, for sure."

This year is proving to be a very busy one for the 33-year-old actor.

Chris stars in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, opening this weekend in the US, and he also features in upcoming comedy Horrible Bosses 2 with Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis.

"They're so funny," Chris gushed about his co-stars. "They're just so good and I've never worked in that comedy situation like that where guys just have to be so quick, and they're so quick and loose, I feel like I'm learning from them all the time."
