Music from the Rolling Stones 2013 released documentary ‘Charlie Is My Darling’ will be released as an album.

ABCKO Records is digitally releasing the Rolling Stones live album Live 1965: Music From Charlie is My Darling on January 21 for a limited time.

The thirteen songs on the album are all from the critically acclaimed film Charlie Is My Darling: Ireland 1965 which was released in a deluxe edition last year. The accompanying CD is nominated at the Grammys for Best Historical Album and Abcko is now releasing that set for a limited time on iTunes, Amazon and other digital retailers in celebration of the nod.

The performance relies heavily on covers of great blues-rooted material along with a couple from the pop and country genres including Solomon Burke’s Everybody Needs Somebody to Love, Bobby Troup’s Route 66, Willie Dixon’s Little Red Rooster, Allen Toussaint’s Pain in My Heart, also recorded by Dixon, and Hank Snow’s I’m Movin’ On. Also in the set are two of the Stones’ better known early tracks, Time is On My Side and The Last Time.
