The Wave Pictures get ready for 2014 with the announcement of a new single and a UK tour.

"Missoula" is taken from City Forgiveness - The Wave Pictures much lauded fifth album - and takes its name from a town in Montana. “It’s a love song, pure and simple. A love song to motels and beer bellies” says Dave Tattersall.

One of an album’s worth of songs written during a six week tour of America with Allo Darlin’, Missoula is the follow up to Red Cloud Road (Part 2) which also takes its name from the road trip. Listen to the new single below.

With five albums for Moshi Moshi, The Wave Pictures have always eschewed the more traditional industry model and made their name via phenomenal live performances and the song writing talents of Dave Tattersall. Their ebullient, sardonic pop, a mix of minor key ballads and rock’n’roll harmonies, has established them as one of the UK’s great cult bands.

Having covered parts of the country during their September jaunt, the Wave Pictures set forth once more for dates in January and a headlining show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall in conjunction with Rockfeedback. Full details below:
