Kylie Minogue is actively “embracing the future”.

The 45-year-old pop legend is gearing up for the release of her twelfth studio album on Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation.

Working with new producers has not been a simple task for Kylie, but she ultimately appreciates the experience.

“I actually didn’t know where I was going or what the future held at the end of 2012,” she told British newspaper The Sun.

“There’s been a lot of change, this album is about taking the plunge and embracing the future and not holding on to things from the past.

“It wasn’t the easiest road but signing with Roc Nation, spending a lot of time in America and [being a coach on TV talent show The Voice UK] gave me a challenge and I needed that to feel reinvigorated.

“It’s not been easy but it’s rewarding.”

Kylie confesses she has been suffering a lot of anxiety of late.

The star claims she is simply driving herself crazy in anticipation over the release of her new LP.

“I always get nervous. I’ve invested a lot in this album, pretty much all of last year,” she explained.

“I genuinely can’t wait for people to hear it. I want to deliver the gift and move to the next phase with it.”

Kylie’s new single Into the Blue is due for release a couple months from now.
