On the 5th of December music and comedy stars took part in Save the Children's annual Christmas Tree Session concert at North London's Union Chapel.

The night featured electrifying performances from Paul Weller, Gaz Coombes, Tim Burgess, the Moons and Will Heard. There were also special appearances from Myleene Klass and Holly Johnston (Who performed The Power of Love) and to festive readings from Caitlin Moran, Chris Addison, Dom Joly and Peter Serafinowicz.

This year the event was used to raise money and highlight the plight of children in Syria affected by the conflict there.

Speaking to Music-News.com after his performance, Gaz Coombs said, "Once I was asked to take part I just knew I had to be involved, maybe it's because I'm a father now, but this really felt right'.

The former Supergrass front man performed two orchestrated versions of 'Caught by the Fuzz' and 'Moving' plus material from a new album that he hopes will be out by the summer.
