Liam Payne feels “irresponsible and stupid” for risking his life.

A photo recently emerged online of the 20-year-old One Direction singer balancing on the ledge of a 34-story tall building in London.

Many of his fans immediately took to Twitter to scold him on the dangerous act and Liam has now apologised to his loving followers.

“You may have seen a photo of me today, taken on top of a building. I regret being there and having a photo taken of me,” he tweeted Tuesday.

“I do not endorse any fans trying to repeat this as it is extremely dangerous. It was a stupid and irresponsible thing to do. I am sorry.”

Some of his most concerned fans took to the micro-blogging site to express their sentiments, which prompted Liam’s apology.

“That photo of @Real_Liam_Payne on that balcony really gave me a mini heart attack ... please don’t do that again!” one tweet read, with another message stating, “@Real_Liam_ Payne should stop thinking he’s Batman, when he’s not ... Stop climbing on your balcony!”

One Direction is known for their unwavering devotion to fans.

British newspaper The Mirror reports the band is preparing to publish two books for their listeners’ enjoyment.

Publisher HarperCollins will release an autobiography and another tome entitled One Direction: The Official Annual 2015 at the end of this year.
