U2 have announced a new song titled 'Invisible' is on the way and a new album not too far off.

Roger Friedman at showbiz411.com spoke with Bono on Sunday night after the group¡¯s win at the Golden Globes and was told that the band hoped to have a new set out in June, saying they were still ¡°working some things out.¡±

Bono also said the first single from the album, Invisible, would be out in the next few weeks.

The new album would be their first since 2009¡äs No Line on the Horizon, the longest it has ever been between two U2 studio albums.

If the date holds, their longest breaks would be:

5 years, 4 months ¨C No Line On the Horizon (2/09) to new album (6/14)
4 years, 3 months ¨C How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (11/04) to No Line On the Horizon (2/09)

3 years, 8 months ¨C Zooropa (7/93) to Pop (3/97)
3 years, 7 months ¨C Pop (3/97) to All That You Can¡¯t Leave Behind (10/00)
3 years, 1 month ¨C Rattle and Hum (10/88) to Achtung Baby (11/91)

The band has been getting more active in recent months, starting with the release of the song Ordinary Love from the movie Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom followed by an appearance Saturday night at a charity event and Sunday¡¯s Golden Globes triumph.
