Will.i.am thinks Miley Cyrus is “amazing”.
The former Black Eyed Peas star recently collaborated with Miley on his new single Feelin’ Myself.
And Will.i.am was full of admiration for the former Disney star.
“I was in my hotel room, flipping through, like, what movie can I watch and we forget, in 2009, her Hannah Montana movie was out,” MTV UK reports the rapper saying.
“I mean, she was Hannah Montana a couple of weeks ago, now she’s Miley Cyrus in a totally different way,” he added.
Miley played Hannah Montana between 2006 and 2011.
Since the Disney series finished the singer has transformed from teen startlet to world-famous twerker.
Twerking is something Miley raps about along with the drug ‘Molly’ on the new track.
“She reinvented herself,” continued The Voice UK coach. “And hats off, I applaud her for that, re-educating the entire planet on who she really is.”
Will also worked with Wiz Khalifa and French Montana on his new track.
But it was guest star Miley who made the biggest impression on him.
“She’s not playing a character, that’s exactly how she is and she’s amazing,” he said.
“Miley is Miley.”
It isn’t the first time that Will has defended Miley.
The Scream & Shout rapper recently told British magazine Heat that the Wrecking Ball singer and Justin Bieber weren’t rowdy despite their negative headlines.
“I wouldn't consider them naughty. I've met some really, really naughty people and they're not naughty," he told the publication at the time.
“Where I come from, that's PG to me. When I was 19 or 20 I wasn't in the public eye, so we made mistakes - my crew - but we did it in the privacy of our family and friends. It wasn't shown to the entire world.”
