Jason Sudeikis gave an impromptu performance in his hometown this weekend.

The 38-year-old We're The Millers star stopped by One Block South KC in his native Overland Park, Kansas with fiancée Olivia Wilde on Saturday night.

Video posted by TMZ Sunday shows the star giving a show of his own as he joined local band Summer Breeze for a cover of Billy Joel's 1977 hit Just the Way You Are.

Acknowledging his vocals might not have been on par with the original, Jason told the crowd: "Thank you for indulging me."

Olivia chimed in shortly before her future husband took the stage, giving fans in the area a heads up the couple would be in attendance.

"If you're lucky enough to be in Kansas City tonight, go see this awesome show. Fun fun fun," she wrote, including a link to a promo poster for the gig.

The 29-year-old actress became engaged to Jason in January after meeting on the set of US comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live in 2011.

She recently confirmed they will soon be starting a family, and admits she's bemused by the great lengths people go to pretend they don't see she's showing.

"Even when you are clearly - like, I feel like I'm clearly pregnant - people will be like, 'Hey, would you like a glass of whiskey? Would you like to get on this roller coaster?'" she joked on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno earlier this month.

"And I go, 'Oh, well, I'm actually pregnant.' And they go, 'What?!' Unless someone's watching you give birth, I don't think they want to make the wrong call."
