Justin Bieber has adopted an American Bulldog.

The 19-year-old pop star was pictured on Thursday window shopping with his entourage at a pet store in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.

According to Celebuzz, he eventually went home with a seven-week-old female American Bulldog.

“The puppies came in yesterday morning… They were looking at them and talking about getting one. It was Boxing Day, so everyone was excited," Ruffin’s Pet Centre employee Leslie said.

"He came in just before closing with his bodyguard and friends. He walked around the store, saw it, held it and liked it. She's got a little splash of brown on her eye,” the store’s owner, Chris, shared.

TMZ reports Justin purchased the pup for $600 and also bought a collar, toys and a bag of dog food.

Justin doesn’t have a good reputation for taking care of pets.

According to the website, he gave his hamster, PAC, to a screaming fan at a show in Atlanta, Georgia last year, but the critter later died in her care.

He also left his Capuchin monkey, Mally, in Germany after visiting the country on the European leg of his world tour earlier this year.

Justin apparently failed to produce the paperwork required to transport the animal, which has been rehomed after he failed to retrieve it, Now Magazine reports.
