Courtney Love's New Year's resolution is reportedly to forgive her ex-partners.

The blonde musician was previously married to late rockstar Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994, with whom she has daughter Frances Bean.

New York Post’s Page Six claims that in a candid post written on her Facebook Courtney appeared to be letting go of any bad feelings towards ex-boyfriends and advised others to do the same.

The message since seems to have been deleted from the page.

"i think at nearly 50 the basis of any realtionship should be restraint and pragmatism before the big dramatic tsunami - s?**t i wish i knew this at 20, and to become best friends and to make sure your exes dont all hate you. (sic)" she apparently advised.

"its important to leave romances nicely - and its 2014 so im letting alot of grudges just go, i dont have time .?.?. none of it matters - thank you dave navvaroo and peter mensch .?.?. so to everyone take my advice, lose the grudges and grudge matches first of all youll make alot more money if that doesnt incentivise you, youll just be happier and get kissed more."

The 49-year-old star has also been linked to Edward Norton, Steve Coogan and Andre Balazs.

While Courtney has shared her new mind-set, Frances recently revealed her wish for Christmas this year.

The 21-year-old was put into her grandmother and aunt's care in 2009 and awarded a temporary restraining order against her mother following allegations of "domestic violence".

"All I want for Christmas is a mummified cat ... @gothgirlproblem (sic)," Frances wrote on Twitter.

It appears she had a fun Christmas Day as she posted photos on the social-networking site along with humorous captions.

"aquabt pajamas. my friends are the greatest. Merry f**kin' Christmas. (sic)" Frances wrote to accompany a snap of her in a blue two-piece.
