Simon Cowell will reportedly spend Christmas with ex-girlfriend Sinitta.
The music mogul remains close friends with his former on/off flame of 20 years, and according to UK newspaper The Mirror he will spend holiday time with the singer instead of his pregnant girlfriend Lauren Silverman.
The outlet reports Simon has invited Sinitta and her two children to Barbados, where they will spend time on his yacht.
A source says it's the X Factor boss' way of extending an olive branch to his ex after they feuded when she spilled details of an abortion she had while they were together.
"It has been a tough year for Simon and Sinitta," the insider said.
"Simon and Lauren were both upset when she spoke about aborting his baby and it did rock the boat. But the trio have sorted out their differences and are looking forward to spending New Year together."
Apparently Lauren has giving her blessing.
The socialite, who recently divorced her husband after it emerged she had an affair with Simon, will reportedly be spending the holidays with her seven-year-old son in New York.
"Lauren wanted to be with her son on Christmas Day and was happy for Simon to spend it with Sinitta, her two kids and Sinitta's partner Jason," the insider said.
Sinitta previously spoke to The Mirror about aborting Simon's baby, calling it a "heartbreaking decision".
"It was a long time ago when we were both young. Simon was very concerned and by my side," she revealed.
"It was upsetting and it was something very difficult that we dealt with together. It's such a heart-breaking thing to go through. It was devastating for both of us."
Lauren is expecting Simon's first child in 2014.
