Madonna and Sean Penn are reportedly planning to spend Christmas together.
The 55-year-old singer recently split from her 25-year-old toyboy Brahim Zaibat following a three-year romance.
There has been speculation she has grown close to her ex-husband Sean again after they were seen holding hands during a humanitarian trip to Haiti. It's now been suggested the pair are getting along so well they want to be together over the holidays.
"Sean and Madonna now want to see each other over Christmas and Madonna’s even considering getting a place out in Haiti. They’re in touch non-stop. Friends are joking they’ll be remarried by this time next year," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
Brahim has signed up to the French version of Dancing with the Stars and the pair's hectic work schedules was said to be one of the reasons for their split.
However, it's now been alleged that Madonna ended things on the advice from her Kabbalah leaders. She is a devotee of the religion and apparently spoke to people at the Kabbalah centre in New York City about her relationship a few weeks ago.
"The leaders there told her to finish it, saying Brahim’s energy is not right for her at the moment and that she needs someone older," the source claimed.
“Brahim was good for her for a while, as she needed someone young and fun with no strings attached.
“Now though, she needs someone who is more of an equal. She needs to be challenged, which Sean does."
Madonna and Sean were married for four years before their divorce in 1989. They relationship was famously tumultuous, with Sean regularly railing against photographers and charged with felony domestic assault while they were together.
