Katy Perry is so bad at cooking, she can't even boil an egg.
The pretty popstar is currently dating John Mayer and was married to comedian Russell Brand in the past.
While she's always popular with the boys, Katy is in no hurry to fulfil the stereotype of the perfect housewife.
"The first thing you should know about me is that I can't even boil an egg," she laughed to German magazine Joy.
"Secondly, I'm always late. I can't help it; I get it from my mother. Also I find it hard to turn down sweets if there are some in the studio. I also don't always look immaculately styled. There are phases when I walk around with a swollen face due to acne. It's fine for people to see me like that. Then they know you don't have to be perfect to be successful. Perfection is boring."
The 29-year-old was brought up in a strict household, with both her parents working as pastors.
While she dresses up in risqué outfits and sings about candid topics now, she can still remember how restricted her life used to be.
"My parents are very conservative Christians, so there were a lot of things I wasn't allowed to do," she recalled.
"The worst part was not being allowed to stay over at friends' houses. I wasn't allowed to watch TV and had to hide my passion for popstars. Although I have to admit now: I didn't really miss out on much. These days I rarely turn the TV on."
