Lady Gaga says she is “so excited” about her Muppets Thanksgiving special.

The singer is taking part in a holiday-themed programme called Lady Gaga & The Muppets' Holiday Spectacular, airing on U.S. TV on Thursday night.

And she is thrilled to be part of the show with model and iconic drag queen RuPaul.

“So excited to have Kermit and The Muppets on my Thanksgiving special tonight! I wonder if @RealMissPiggy is going to show up?” tweeted Gaga.

“Everyone keep warm&bundle up! I'll see you tonight with the Muppets on ABC. And if your already warm, turn up the freezer it's the holidays!”

The Applause star’s new album Artpop was just released, and she is over the moon about the level of support she’s received from fans.

According to Gaga, the love and loyalty makes her extremely emotional.

“Happy Thanksgiving little turkey+tofurkey monsters, I love you with [all my heart] and thought all day about how grateful I am to be be a performer in this life, writing you songs and singing to you year after year! #thankful4monsters,” she tweeted.

“I was getting ready for a tv today and I just burst into tears, all my beautiful costumes, the amazing stage shows. It's all because of you (sic).”

The Muppet’s team are equally thrilled to be performing with Gaga. The character of Kermit, who she is singing a duet with, even released a statement.

"We have a long history with Ms. Gaga, so we jumped at the chance to do a holiday special with her," Kermit said. "We won't even mind if she mistakes some of the Muppets for pieces of her wardrobe – again."
