Taylor Swift thinks Prince William is “so cool”.

The singer attended a charity event at Kensington Palace on Tuesday night, hosted by Prince William in honour of his youth homelessness charity Centrepoint.

Taylor was there to help raise awareness for the charity and said she found William “awesome” and “so cool”.

"He was very funny. I was really happy he was funny," Taylor told the Huffington Post.

"I am so excited. I don't think I have ever played in a palace before. So it will be really wonderful,” she added. “This evening is so special... it is for a charity that as well as being very important to Prince William is also very important to me."

The singer was overwhelmed by the beauty of Kensington Palace, describing it as a winter wonderland.

According to Taylor, she was lucky just to be present.

"It's positively magical here," the country star said. "There are fairy lights and there is fake snow falling from the sky and everything is just gorgeous. I am just very lucky to be here."

Also present was Jon Bon Jovi, who was thrilled to be part of the event. The rocker believes youth homelessness to be a serious issue and was glad to do whatever he could to help.

"What's important for me is to help break the cycle that leads to poverty,” the Bon Jovi singer said. “And to be invited to highlight it in such illustrious surroundings couldn't be better."

Prince has been a patron of Centrepoint since 2005. His late mother Princess Diana was also a patron of the charity.
