Adam Levine fears all the "pranks" now he's been named Sexiest Man Alive.

The Maroon 5 singer has been awarded the title by People magazine.

Speaking to Access Hollywood before the announcement, Adam admitted he couldn't "believe" it and that he didn't want to get his "hopes up".

Even though it's now been confirmed, it won't be a walk in the park for the hunky musician.

“The ball busting will be hilarious,” he laughed to the website.

“There is no way that [I’ll] ever be able to live it down. I’m going to be getting pranked by everyone, if it does happen... I’m going to be getting pranked by every single person I know!”

The musician is currently serving on The Voice US panel alongside Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton.

Christina already has some tricks up her sleeve so Adam's head doesn't get too big.

“If it happens, I got a good prank. I got a good one,” she laughed. “I’m actually going to pull pranks. I’m going to have like Christina’s Weekly Prank that I’m going to pull every week. I gotta spice things up.”

People magazine have been awarding the Sexiest Man Alive title since 1985, when Mel Gibson bagged the honour.

Adam now follows in the footsteps of Channing Tatum, who won last year, and other A-list hotties such as Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds and Johnny Depp.

Rather than responding on Twitter when he heard the news, the 34-year-old simply re-tweeted People magazine's message.

"Here he is, your Sexiest Man Alive — ADAM LEVINE! http://peoplem.ag/qZGnv #SexiestManAlive (sic)," it read.

Sadly, the gorgeous singer isn't on the market. Adam is currently engaged to Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo.
