DMX has reportedly been arrested for driving on a suspended licence.
TMZ claims the rapper, real name Earl Simmons, was taken into custody while driving at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
He was also reportedly charged with driving while uninsured and driving an unlicenced vehicle.
An airport representative allegedly spotted the rapper behind the wheel and notified police, having become “well versed on his track record”.
The 42-year-old has been arrested for various driving charges on more than one occasion.
In February he was apprehended for driving without a licence and in July he was arrested for the same offence, as well as driving under the influence.
In August he was taken into custody after the car he was travelling in made an illegal U-turn and was pulled over. He wasn't driving but was arrested as he had an outstanding warrant. He was also cited after marijuana was found in the vehicle.
The arrest came just weeks before a bizarre incident, in which the rapper was caught running naked through a hallway in his Detroit hotel.
The hip-hop star later brushed off the incident, revealing he pulled the prank because he “felt like” being nude.
DMX reportedly remained in custody at press time.
TMZ reports he will be required to see a judge before he is released.
A spokesperson for the star has not issued comment on reports of the arrest.
