Max George tells his band mates to stop being a "mardy arse" when they feel low.
The singer makes up one fifth of boyband The Wanted, alongside Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes.
If one of them starts to feel down because of their hectic schedule, Max uses tough love to get the lads back on track.
"We say, 'Stop being a mardy arse and get on with it!'" he laughed to British magazine new! when asked if they pick each other up during low periods.
The band have been busy promoting their upcoming album Word of Mouth as well as starring in reality show The Wanted Life.
Siva, 24, admits he sometimes feels like he's heading towards a breakdown.
"Every weekend!" he confessed.
"On long periods away and when it gets heavy, you do get stressed out.
"That is the benefit of being in a band. As a solo artist, you're on your own. When one of us is down, we can pick each other up."
Max is now loved up with model Nina Agdal, but he was linked to troubled actress Lindsay Lohan in the past and admits they kissed on a night out.
Shortly after Lindsay was released from court-ordered rehab earlier this year it was reported The Wanted took her out for drinks, which upset Jay.
"There was a big article in the paper saying that we got her p**sed," he vented.
"No one drank. It frustrated me, because this is a girl who has just cleaned herself up and someone, on the day she'd come out of rehab, said we'd f**ked it all up for her."
