Quitting The Voice helping Tom Jones tour

Tom Jones's departure from The Voice could help boost demand for any subsequent tour by around 200%.

Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue of The Script both saw demand for tickets to their shows increase by 300% and 110% respectively, following their departures.

Seatwave has already recorded fans searching for tickets to see Tom Jones in concert following speculation he was leaving the show, even though a tour has not been formally announced.

Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave, said: "The publicity surrounding Jessie J and Danny's departures helped to boost ticket demand significantly, much more so than their weekly appearances on the show.

"As both The Script and Jessie J have ramped up their musical commitments after leaving the show, it stands to reason that many fans are speculating Tom will do the same and are clamouring for him to announce a tour."
