Fergie is planning a star-studded baby shower for this weekend.

The Black Eyed Peas star is expecting her first child with her husband Josh Duhamel, who has confirmed the tot is a boy.

Fergie is due to give birth in September and it's been reported she will celebrate the impending new arrival with her friends in Los Angeles. Rather than going the traditional girl-only route, the 38-year-old star has invited male and female pals to the bash.

According to New York Post, fashion designer Marc Jacobs and stylist Joe Zee have already confirmed their attendance. It seems the affair will be a fashionable one, as DSquared2 designer Dean and Dan Catan are throwing it with Fergie's agent Sean Patterson also involved.

Other stars expected to make an appearance are Kelly Osbourne, Neil Patrick Harris, Julianne Hough and Ryan Murphy.

At the moment further details about the shower, such as where it will be held, are unknown.

It seems Josh and Fergie have started nesting, with the Hollywood hunk spotted moving boxes into their home in Brentwood, California, on Monday. The items were seemingly heavy, with Josh wearing a special supportive belt around his lower back as he hauled them inside.

The 40-year-old star has spoken extensively about how much he is looking forward to fatherhood since he and Fergie confirmed her pregnancy on Twitter in February.

"Everybody who's had a baby or knows somebody who's had a baby seems to have advice about something," he recently admitted. "'Oh, you better sleep now; you're not going to get any when the baby's here.' 'Oh, your life is over after that.' 'Oh, it's the most beautiful thing ever, but, oh, it's tough.'

"I feel like we're ready for it. I actually look forward to that."
