The Pescara Jazz Festival is back in Abruzzo

Every year in the month of July, one of the most important Jazz music events takes place in Abruzzo from July 8th to July 28th, 2013.

The Pescara Jazz Festival, whose first edition goes back to 1969, has been the first Italian summer festival dedicated to jazz, becoming at the same time the first one of a series of events all over Italy and one of the major jazz events in Europe.

All the names of international jazz have been to Pescara: Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Charles Mingus, Woody Herman, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, Wayne Shorter, Stan Getz, Dizzie Gillespie, Wynton Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Natalie Cole, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny.
