Ed Sheeran is saving his fortune to build a dream home.
The singer is saving his cash to go towards a renovation on a house near Halifax, England.
He admitted that rapper Kanye West’s notion about the Caucasian race being frugal may ring true in his case.
“Kanye West has that line, ‘White people make money and don’t spend it’, and that’s pretty much me,” he told British newspaper The Sun. “I’m renovating a property where I grew up.”
Ed has become very successful on an international level over the last few years.
He is currently on tour with country singer Taylor Swift but will be saving his earnings to create a comfortable life for his children.
“This is going to be the family house for when I have kids and stuff,” he admitted. “I’m planting a lot of trees. Actually it’s a farm I’m turning into a woodland.”
Ed recently defended his touring pal’s reputation as a serial dater.
Ed insists that after getting to know her he has realised tales of Taylor’s love life are often exaggerated.
Ed hates when Taylor is made fun of for being obsessed with men and thinks people should get to know her before judging.
He maintains she has only fallen into a trap because she is nice to everyone she meets.
“I don’t like when people take shots at her because I do know her personally, and I think people get the wrong end of the stick,” he complained. “She’s so successful, and she’s so nice and sweet to everyone that she meets, there is nothing bad to say but she was being pictured with a lot of dudes.”
