Ke$ha felt compelled to capture her life on film “because it’s so insane”.
The 26-year-old Warrior singer will premiere her new documentary series entitled My Crazy Beautiful Life on MTV this week.
Ke$ha decided to chronicle her extraordinary exploits so she wouldn’t forget inspiring events.
"I just wanted to document my life, because it's so insane; I wanted somebody to catch it on film, so I can watch it when I'm old and saggy and be like 'My life was so crazy!'" she gushed to MTV News.
"What you get in the show is real; it's not scripted or... thought out at all. It's just my life. It's very real and honest."
Ke$ha’s brother Lagan Sebert, a journalist and filmmaker, served as the man behind the camera.
The star felt free to cut loose with her sibling as director.
"[My brother] quit his job, totally just on a prayer, and started filming my life. And for the past two and a half years, he's been filming and he has not put down the camera. It's very guerilla, do-it-yourself, kinda-ghetto style. A lot of it has to be subtitled,” she explained.
"Because it was my brother filming, there was no wall, no barrier, it was real and raw; just everything from breakdowns to triumphs and make outs and mornings after, just everything. I couldn't bulls**t the camera, there was no acting, no faking, there was no story, there was just my brother filming my life."
