LeAnn Rimes apparently “loves” her new curves and has promised her family she will maintain her weight.

The country music star's thin physique has sparked speculation she was battling anorexia in the past few years. She spent time in rehab last year for "stress and anxiety" issues, but it was claimed she was being treated for an eating disorder. LeAnn has denied she has problems with food and is embracing her fuller figure.

“LeAnn loves her new curves and has promised her family she won’t drop back to the weight she was,” a source told British magazine Closer. “LeAnn has gone up a couple of dress sizes in the past few months. She realised she looked ill – frail and older – so she’s increased her calories by 1,000 a day to 2,500.”

LeAnn has insisted that personal problems were to blame for her frail frame. However, she recently revealed that with support from her husband Eddie Cibrian she is feeling better about her body.

"People said I was [anorexic]," she told MailOnline this week. "But I didn't have a problem with eating as I ate a tonne all the time – I could eat my husband under the table! But I was going through a time when I just wasn't sleeping – my mind wouldn't shut off and my heart was breaking.

"Now I'm secure about my body, although I'm like any other woman and have my moments of self-doubt. But it's nice to have a husband who tells you you're beautiful all the time. I'll say to him, 'I've gained a few pounds,' and he'll say, 'Good!'"

It seems the 30-year-old star’s healthy appearance is down to a new eating regime.

LeAnn has been snacking on protein shakes and toasted muffins and re-introduced carbohydrates into her diet.

“She didn’t used to drink protein shakes or snack and didn’t really eat carbs, so the extra calories are coming from these,” a source explained. “She is working out at home with a trainer to get more muscle tone and doing squat repetitions to help make her butt more pert and tone her upper thighs.”
