Justin Bieber’s neighbour reportedly planned to sell photos of the star to the media.

The 19-year-old singer was allegedly involved in an altercation with a resident of his gated community in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday.

Police have confirmed a battery report has been filed and officials are actively investigating whether Justin threatened the alleged victim who was apparently complaining about the singer’s erratic driving.

New reports suggest Justin has been at odds with at least one of his neighbours for some time.

According to Radar Online, one neighbour told people in the community she planned to sell photos and information about Justin to the press.

Justin reportedly found out about the alleged plot and planted $100,000 worth of shrubs to block view into his home.

“This neighbour told people that Justin moving into the neighborhood was a chance to make money by selling photo of him. And that got back to Justin…” a source told the website.

The woman in question is said to be “extremely close” to another neighbour who filed a police report against the singer on Tuesday.

The neighbour, described as a 47-year-old successful businessman and father-of-three, claims the singer flew off the rails after he voiced grievances about the star’s “reckless driving”, according to TMZ.

He claims Justin spit in his face and yelled, “Get the f**k out of here. I'm gonna f**king kill you," before members of his security team escorted him off the singer’s property.

Insiders in Justin’s camp have still dismissed the man's claims.

Justin has meanwhile spoken out to dismiss swirling allegations he is spiraling out of control after a series of reports about his increasingly bizarre behaviour.

"The biggest misconception about me is that I'm a bad person," he told UsWeekly.

"I get upset about that. I have a big heart. I want to be a good role model, but some people want me to fail."

"I know who I am and I'm not gonna let negativity towards me bring me down,” he added.
