Ke$ha hopes she inspires people to “break the rules”.
The singer believes her controversial antics, which include drinking her own pee, appeal to audiences around the world.
Speaking while in Tokyo, the 26-year-old discussed her popularity in countries where English isn’t the main language.
"I am incredibly liberated, and I think that's why the Japanese fans love it. Push it out. Break the rules. People understand that in any language," she explained to Q magazine.
The star is famed for her all night alcohol-fuelled partying sessions, which she loves to speak about in public. This is just one aspect of her life that she is unrepentant about.
"Don't think, don't analyse. That's the problem with so much culture out there," she continued. "People are so trapped into trying to do the right thing. As long as you are not hurting anyone I think you should feel free to indulge your fantasies. I have had girls crying when they come up to me in Japan because they just didn't know how to have fun."
Ke$ha will share more personal details in reality series Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, which is scheduled to premiere on MTV in April.
