Kelly Osbourne says growing up around her father’s male bandmates made her “a tomboy”.

The 28-year-old TV personality is the daughter of Black Sabbath star Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon.

Kelly blames the members of her dad’s heavy metal group for influencing her while she was young.

“[Growing up around dad’s male bandmates] made me like a tomboy,” Kelly confessed to the latest British edition of Glamour magazine.

Since then Kelly has gone on to become a style icon. The Fashion Police co-host believes her unique upbringing helped her develop her own individual look.

“Because of them I’ve seen the world and been exposed to all walks of life. It has a major impact on how I dress and who I am,” Kelly explained. “I have this ability to not care if people don’t like what I’m wearing.”

The outspoken star has always used her appearance as a form of self-expression. She believes her dad’s teasing and the endless rows about her fashion choices with her mother helped her develop a defiant attitude.

“When I was 13, I had hair the colour of gold down to my butt. I had an argument with my mum, yelled, ‘F**k you!’ And chopped off half my hair,” she remembered. “My dad couldn’t look at me without p**sing himself laughing.”
