Mindy McCready will be laid to rest by her family next Tuesday.

The tragic country music singer died in an apparent suicide on Sunday.

The 37-year-old mother-of-two was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head on the porch of her Heber Springs, Arkansas home.

USA Today reports a private funeral is scheduled for next Tuesday in her hometown of Fort Myers, Florida.

The service will be held at Crossroads Church.

A memorial service is scheduled for March 6 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Musicians will celebrate her memory during the ceremony at the Cathedral of the Incarnation.

The family has not yet finalised burial plans.

Mindy’s death occurred days after she left a court-ordered substance abuse treatment programme.

The body of her fiancé David Wilson was discovered in the same spot of their Arkansas home on January 13.

His passing is still being investigated by police but is believed to resultant of suicide.

Shortly after his death, Mindy’s two young sons were removed from her house and she was admitted to a facility to undergo evaluations to determine whether she was mentally sound or abusing alcohol. She was released two days later.

Mindy’s personal tragedies have been well-documented through the years.

She struggled with mental health and alcohol abuse and has tried to commit suicide several times before. She was hospitalised for slitting her wrists in 2008.

She is survived by two young sons: Zander, six, with Billy McKnight, and Zayne, 10 months, fathered by David.
