Zayn Malik apparently wants to “prove he can be the man” girlfriend Perrie Edwards wants him to be.
Recently the One Direction heartthrob was hit by rumours he had cheated on his singer girlfriend with an Australian waitress.
The pair have been trying to work through things and the 20-year-old has reportedly vowed to do everything in his power to win Perrie over.
“Zayn wants to prove he can be the man Perrie wants him to be. He’s going all-out to gain her trust and respect again,” a source explained to British magazine Star.
Purple-haired Perrie is a member of UK band Little Mix and Zayn was recently spotted supporting her during a concert in Liverpool.
Watching his girlfriend perform is apparently one of the ways the dark-haired hunk plans to show he cares.
“Zayn has told Perrie he wants to be there for her all the time – even when work makes it impossible for them to be together physically,” the source continued.
“He has told her he will be much more supportive in all aspects of her life.”
Zayn and his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson are known for sporting new tattoos on a regular basis.
The singer is apparently thinking about dedicating a new inking to Perrie.
“Zayn wants it to be as beautiful as Perrie is in his eyes,” the source explained.
“He suggested matching tattoos, but then realised it will make a bigger impact if he gets one on his own.”
Due to their busy schedules, the young lovebirds find it difficult to keep in touch.
Zayn will be hitting the road for One Direction’s Take Me Home tour soon, but has promised to call and text Perrie regularly while he’s away.
“Zayn told her he will check in with her much more frequently to tell her what he’s doing and where he is, whether by text or phone,” the insider said.
“He has been sending her lots of soppy text messages, which have put a smile back on her face.”
