Mike Tyson believes Chris Brown and Frank Ocean have to “feel the fire to know it’s hot.”

Chris, 23, was convicted of assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and has since been embroiled in numerous public controversies due to alleged rage issues.

Chris, fellow R&B singer Frank and their entourages got into a brawl last weekend.

Musician Frank reportedly wants Chris charged over the car park fight which he says Chris started.

Former American boxer Mike Tyson, who also has a checkered history with the law, has shared his thoughts on why he believes some wealthy young celebrities consistently get in trouble.

"Even when I was in fights and these guys started it and I finished it, I still went to jail. They didn't go to jail! They had guns and stuff and they told the cops 'Yeah we were going to shoot him' and they still put me in jail!" Mike told MTV while letting out a sigh.

"A situation like [those] two guys, there's not much advice you can give them. It's hard to listen to somebody when you've got a couple of hundred million dollars, or $50 million or whatever, it's hard to listen to somebody. Sometimes you've got to feel the fire to know it's hot.”

Being embroiled in public scandal is a situation Mike is all too familiar with.

He bit off a large portion of his fighting opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear during their 1997 rematch and was imprisoned for three years on rape charges in the early 1990s.

Mike is happy his past is behind him as the legal drama was overwhelming.

"That's the furthest thing from me now, man," he said.

"These guys realise they're going to get locked up, they're going to get fined a hell of a lot of money, you know, now they're going to be stereotypes... it's going to be on record that these guys are bad guys, and they constantly get in trouble. And the next thing you know you got a lawyer involved, you got a cop involved, you got a prosecutor involved, you got a jury involved. You're up s**t creek without a paddle."
