Justin Timberlake will perform at the Grammy Awards ceremony.

The six-time Grammy winner will be among the performers for the first time in four years, less than a month after the release of his comeback single Suit & Tie.

Justin will join a star-studded array of performers on the big night including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Jack White, Carrie Underwood and Elton John.

The show will be hosted by LL Cool J with Fun., Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, Kanye West and Jay-Z leading the nominations with six apiece.

Justin will release his third solo album The 20/20 experience on March 19.

Suit & Tie features Jay-Z and was co-written and co-produced by Justin and Timbaland, who produced many of the tracks on the singer’s last album FutureSex/LoveSounds.

The release of the song came as a surprise for fans, with Justin spending the last six years concentrating on his acting career with parts in The Social Network, Friends with Benefits and the recent baseball film Trouble with the Curve.

Justin announced his new musical venture in an open letter to his fans via his website.

"The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything to come out of it,” he wrote.

“I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs.

“It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating and with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process."
