Ke$ha has described her new docu-series as being a "whirlwind journey"

The music superstar announced her all-access series Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life will be premiering on MTV from April.

Ke$ha chose to reveal the news on MTV's new comedy show Nikki & Sara LIVE, where she teased at what the fly-on-the-wall series will be like.

"You might have heard my voice on the radio, seen me on stage or in a music video, but that's only a part of the story," Ke$ha said to MTV. "With this documentary series I'm revealing a more complete picture of what my life is really like. It's not all glamorous but it's all real. I want you to come on a whirlwind journey with an all-access pass to My Crazy Beautiful Life."

The multi-platinum recording artist will be seen tackling the personal and professional challenges she's encountered over the course of the last two years. The series has been shot by her filmmaker brother, Lagan Sebert, and so contains no-limits behind-the-scenes access to Ke$ha's life.

The Tik Tok star, who is notorious for her eccentric image, will show all manner of different sides to her personality in the footage. Family bonds, love and friendship, as well as musical themes are also promised from the show.
