Adele reportedly couldn't wait to leave a star-studded after-party so she could go back to her hotel and "watch herself on telly".

The British singer was stunned when she picked up the Best Original Song Golden Globe Award for her track Skyfall earlier this month. Her appearance at the Los Angeles ceremony marked her return to the limelight following the birth of her son in October last year.

Adele ventured to the after-party following her triumph, where stars such as Ben Affleck and Jamie Foxx reportedly asked to have their pictures taken with her.

The singer was happy to oblige, but didn't stay at the bash for long.

"Adele was the star of the show. She had one more drink before telling everyone that she was going back to her hotel to be with her son, get in her pyjamas and watch herself on telly!" a source giggled to Heat magazine.

During her acceptance speech Adele admitted feeling floored she had won, saying she had only come to the ceremony as she wanted a night out now she is a "new mum".

The 24-year-old star is yet to confirm her baby's name, saying it feels too personal to announce the moniker at the moment, but it has been reported he is called Angelo James. She has been open about the tot's nickname though, explaining she and her partner Simon Konecki call him "little peanut".
