Britney Spears reportedly wants her fiancé Jason Trawick to step down as her co-conservator, as she believes it is damaging their relationship.
There has been constant speculation that Britney’s romance with Jason is on the rocks, with claims they have postponed their wedding while they decide if they have a future together. According to RadarOnline, the couple feel they could be happier if Jason is removed from the co-conservator position.
“Britney has made it known that she wants Jason removed as co-conservator. He was appointed to the position when she joined The X Factor so that he could be with her at all times while on set,” a source told the website.
“The relationship has been more than slightly rocky in the past few months and Brit attributes that to having her man essentially being one of her babysitters. It has killed the romance in the relationship, and she wants to get it back. Jason is co-conservator of Spears as a person, meaning he controls who she sees, where she goes, etc. Her father has had that role since the conservatorship was appointed, and she thinks it should only be him, and not Jason anymore. Jason is in full agreement and supports her decision.”
It was previously believed that Britney would marry Jason over the Christmas holidays last month. However, it appears the pair decided to delay the nuptials as the romance has fizzled out.
“They are telling their friends it’s being postponed, but they will probably never make it down the aisle. Britney doesn’t think Jason is any fun and resents him because he acts more like a second father than a romantic partner, or equal,” a source explained. “Britney and Jason have been sleeping in separate bedrooms for a very long time... Jason does love Britney and the boys, but he just can’t see himself spending the rest of his life with her.”
