Lily Allen and her husband Sam Cooper are elated to have welcomed another girl to their clan.
The British singer reportedly delivered daughter Marnie Rose Cooper on Tuesday. Lily learned she was expecting her second child soon after giving birth to her daughter Ethel in November last year.
Lily and Sam couldn’t be happier with their new bundle of joy.
“Marnie is a real cutie. Sam and Lily are ecstatic about adding another girl to the family,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
“A little sister for Ethel is brilliant news to lift the January blues for the family.”
Apparently the couple chose the name Marnie in reference to late director Alfred Hitchcock’s eponymous 1964 thriller.
Marnie shares her birthday with music legends David Bowie and deceased King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley.
Lily and Sam wed in June 2011.
After taking a break from her music career, Lily is working on a new album.
It has been reported that expanding her family has been a source of inspiration for her.
