It has been 10 years since Tarmac Adam, originally featuring Paul Hester and Nick Seymour from Crowded House, released their debut album in Australia and now the band is back together for their American debut.

A decade ago Tarmac Adam featured Paul Hester and Nick Seymour from Crowded House. Today, Melbourne songwriter Matt O’Donnell and multi-instrumentalist Steve Paix have enticed Seymour back to the studio to work on the new record ‘The History Effect’, which will be the American debut for the band.

Rueben Alexander plays drums on the record, replacing the late Paul Hester who died in 2005.

‘The History Effect’ was recorded in Melbourne, Dublin, Nashville and New York.

The album will be released in the USA on February 19, 2013.
